A hard hand is one that either has no aces, or if it has, the ace is no longer flexible and is assigned a value of 1 only. It is a shame that so many players do not get familiar with them. The terms hard and soft hands are actually very easy to understand. When the appropriate situation occurs, they are prepared to act accordingly and apply the acquired knowledge.
This is the reason why they are familiar with every rule and subtlety of the game as well.
